The Testing Protocol

What We Measure

Every BBT athlete is tested at intake and re-tested on a regular cadence. The numbers remove the guesswork — they show exactly where an athlete is, where they're going, and whether the program is working.

Vertical Jump

A direct window into lower-body power and explosiveness. We track standing and approach vertical to measure how training converts strength into real athletic output.

10-Yard Dash

Acceleration is what wins the first step, the first base, and the first move. The 10-yard split isolates pure start speed better than a 40 ever could.

Pro-Agility (5-10-5)

The gold standard for change of direction. It tells us how efficiently an athlete decelerates, redirects, and reaccelerates — the movements every sport demands.

B

Broad Jump

A clean measure of horizontal power and full-body coordination. Paired with the vertical, it gives a complete picture of an athlete's explosive ability.

Strength Benchmarks

Age-appropriate strength testing on key foundational lifts, tracked over time so we can see relative strength climb safely and steadily.

Re-Testing & Reporting

We re-test on a set schedule and report results back to athletes and families — so progress is something you can see in writing, not just feel.

Forty-seven and counting. BBT athletes have gone on to compete at every level of college sport — Division I, Division II, Division III, and JUCO — across football, basketball, soccer, baseball, track, and more.

We're proud of the D1 signing-day photos, but we're just as proud of the Division III commit who found the perfect academic-athletic fit and the JUCO athlete who used a strong first year to earn a four-year scholarship.
